We are so grateful for your interest in volunteering at Hope Acts. Here are some of the areas where we rely on the generosity of community members like you:
- Become a Hope House Mentor – We match Hope House residents with Americans from the greater Portland community to develop one-to-one relationships of support and mutual transformation.
- Parlez-vous francais? – Most of the immigrants we serve speak several languages, including French. If you would like to volunteer as a French/English translator, we’d love to talk to you. You are also invited to participate in our bi-monthly potluck supper and French-English Exchange.
- Moving Assistance – If you are available on occasion and have a vehicle, we’d love to have your help as new residents move into Hope House and others move on to their new homes.
If you would like to volunteer in any of these areas, please contact our Immigrant Support Coordinator, Carolyn Graney at firstname.lastname@example.org. Office phone: 207-6005, cell: 207-613-5052.
- Interested in the Hope House English Language Program (HHELP)? Volunteers teach classes, serve on the HHELP Steering Committee and assist with administrative tasks.
If you are interested in exploring volunteer opportunities with HHELP contact HHELP Program Coordinator Diane Haley at email@example.com or call 207-274-6005.
