Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher Liz Leuthner offers weekly yoga for Portland’s addiction recovery community at HopeGateWay. The hour-long class, taught in the Iyengar method, is suitable for all ages/levels ~ all are welcome, even if you don’t identify as being “in” recovery ~ mats and other props provided (or bring your own).

Prayer and meditation are practices that improve conscious contact with God ~ the challenge, of course, is in establishing them as part of our daily lives. Join us as we begin to experience a spiritual connection through the practice of yoga postures and breathing.

The yoga practice is followed at 6:15 pm by a 20-minute guided, seated (in chairs) heart contemplation. Come to yoga or heart contemplation or both!

Chapter 2/Alcoholics Anonymous meeting follows in the same space, 7-8 PM weekly ~ the meeting is also open to all.
