We take our inspiration from the 11th Step in the program of addiction recovery laid out in the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous:
Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God as we understood God, praying only for knowledge of God’s will for us and the power to carry that out.
All Hope Acts Recovery & Wellness programs have a foundation in prayer and meditation. We seek to develop a community of hospitality, hope, and healing that draws people together for mutual support, recovery from addiction, and spiritual growth. Through prayer and meditation, recovering addicts experience transformation by putting their (often new-found) faith into action, learning to cultivate and improve God consciousness by living spiritual practices and helping each other along the way.
