HHELP – English Language Program

Mission Statement: The mission of Hope House English Language Program (HHELP) is to equip adult immigrant and asylum-seeking newcomers in Portland with the English Language skills they need to achieve essential life goals. HHELP offers the opportunity for beginner and intermediate adult English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) students to develop and practice their reading, writing, listening and spoken English Language skills in small, supportive classes.

Current students will be registered for the next semester’s classes automatically. You may also call (207 274-6005) or stop by the office (14 Sherman Street) in the morning on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday to speak with someone in person.

Classes on Mondays, Tuesdays & Wednesdays
Beginner (A1): 9-10:30
Advanced Beginner (A2): 9-10:30
Early Intermediate (B): 11-12:30
Intermediate (C): 11-12:30
