Remembrance Vigil for Immigrant Justice
First Parish Portland
425 Congress Street, Portland, Maine
Join in a community prayer and remembrance gathering for individuals and families negatively impacted by unjust immigration policies, and encourage Congress to push forward with reform that keeps families together and honors the dignity of all people. Participants will gather at the First Parish Church on Congress Street to share stories and hear prayers for families adversely affected by deportation and criminalization. Then, the group will participate in a silent procession to Longfellow Square, where we will close with a song, lifting our voices in solidarity with our neighbors who live in fear and hiding.
